Loading... Please wait...This delightful Mapula tapestry is very finely hand embroidered on black African cotton by Francwah Maiketso who lives in The Winterveldt north of Pretoria, South Africa. Africans are hugly conscious of water. Windmills driven boreholes that collect precious water are a valuable thing. This hanging is filled with strong primary colors and a juanty man carries a young goat over his shoulder while anothre goati eats grains while standing on the lid of the bin. Next ot the bin we can see a pot of food has been knocked over by the naughty goat A woman is carrying wood on her head while carrying an axe and laundry flutters on the line. The hanging is 36" x 25" and is stitched on black African cotton.
