This shallow plate or basket can be hung on the wall or used for table ware for fruit or bread. It has images of bride and groom and houses. The baskets are made by women in the Durban area in South Africa. They're woven on a steel wire frame with coloured telephone wire and are collector items. They are quite heavy and make dramatic pieces mounted on the wall or used for the table for fruit or bread. This large, shallow basket is about 2" deep and 13" across. A very fine and unusual basket in abstract design. They are featured in the August 2010 edition of Veranda Magazine
