These beautifully embroiderered portraits are 12" x 12" and are stitched onto a background of black or tan coloured African cotton. Usually the entire background is covered with stitches. The edges of the cotton ground are unfinished, awaiting your framing or mounting treatment. This woman is standing next to a smal building with the letter CILY on the side. No, I don't know what that stands for.
